Collage tags--veiled and shimmering

These tag collages are now behind a shimmering taupe and gold metallic chiffon fabric overlay. I will probably add more free motion quilting with gold thread. None of the simmer or the gold shows up well on the scanner, of course. They are a bit mysterious and I do like that!

Metallic or shimmer is so hard to get on the scanner. These look just great as is so I'm sure with the shimmer in person they look fantastic!

Love these. I like sewing too, and tags, ATC's and gift tags, tiny spaces.

To show some glitter/shimmer on scans I try to prop one side of the item up with anything slid under it a little: a dowel, a sliver of cardstock, a flat glass marble, you know. Something to tilt the scanned item at an angle. This angle should allow the reflection of some of the glitter.

The scanned image will show some of the prop, but if you can use something clear, it will help hide it. You could also crop the propped section out.
